• A client asked me today where I got the name BirdDog Design.

In 1994 I had a dog named Ginger and she liked to chase birds. I called her my little bird dog.
I was working at a big agency and I thought that if I ever opened my own firm I'd call it BirdDog Design.
So when I left the firm 3 months later that's what I did.
And this was Ginger. I got her as a rescue from a colleague at work, Anita Bergmann, who found her when she was just about 12 weeks old and she lived with me until was almost 16 years old.

When I started BirdDog I asked the only illustrator I knew, Michael Zavacky, if he'd draw Ginger with wings and he did : )

That's where BirdDog came from. (2 photos)

  • We are, indeed, very pleased to entrust Bird Dog Design with our most complex projects and we would not hesitate to recommend them to others!

Actually, we ask lots of questions. But the biggest and most pertinent of them all is "How well do we fit with you?" Simply put, we're looking to create strong, long-lasting relationships based on mutual respect and understanding. This helps us create savvy, smart work that WORKS and enhances your bottom line.

A short drive over the Alexandra or Portage Bridge from downtown Ottawa and you'll find yourself in Vieux Hull—our stomping grounds. The Canadian Museum of Civilization is out our back door and we're down the street from one of the best sandwich places in town. Let's do lunch really soon. We're hungry!

    How do I get there?
